Event Details
The 2024 Arizona Rising Sun Rallye is a 200-mile, single-day driving event through some of Arizona’s most picturesque areas. The emphasis on this event is to take legendary, historic, and significant Japanese cars outside of the normal car-show or cars and coffee-style event, and use them for what they were intended for. Driving.
The event was born as an idea at local car shows when three friends shared a desire to do something more active within the local vintage Japanese car community. We all share a common desire to drive our cars in the local mountain passes and canyon roads and thought it would be fun to do this with a group of like-minded enthusiasts. Not only for the camaraderie, but also to display of our passion for these classic Japanese vehicles.
The event, to be held on Saturday, October 26th, is open to any pre-2005 Japanese car with sporting intensions.
This is a non-competitive driving event in the vein of a casual tour. There is no racing, no illegal activity, and no winners or losers. The route will be revealed the morning of the event. Participants will be presented a route map book with "tulip"-style rally notes. Photographers will be present along the route to capture images of your car in motion. We encourage you to support the local photographers and purchase prints post event.
If selected, there will be a nominal registration fee of $80. That fee includes the following:
- Magnetic Door Placards
- Route map book
- Event stickers
- Event t-shirt
- Swag bag, courtesy of our sponsors
- One dinner voucher for the end-of-day dinner ceremony at a local Valley restaurant.
Co-drivers are encouraged, for map reading and company. Additional t-shirts will be available to purchase for $20, and a dinner voucher for your co-driver will be available to purchase for $30.
